Book Store POS
The Bookstore uses a POS (that’s Point Of Sale) system to track sales and inventory. You’ve all seen these systems if you have made a purchase in the last 25 years but may not have realized it. It is simply a computer based system rather than a cash register. The great thing about a POS system is that you can scan the UPC code (bar code) on the book and it will show up on the screen. The system will do a sales transaction as well as print price tags, track inventory, let us know when to order and even generate a purchase order.
